Left-authoritarian ACLU continues its war against Christianity in America

From:
New Jersey City Sued by ACLU Over Prayer

(The New Amercian) -- by Dave Bohon --

The ACLU of New Jersey has been granted a temporary court order forcing the city council of Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey, to halt its 60-year practice of opening council meetings with prayer. According to the community’s mayor, Vincent Barrella, the council has been opening meetings with the Lord’s Prayer since the late 1940s or early ’50s, and he told the state’s Star-Ledger newspaper that he didn’t understand the problem with offering a short prayer before the beginning of official government business. “If the [New Jersey] Assembly and the Senate can open their session with an invocation, I don’t see why a municipality should not be able to do the same thing,” he said.

Apparently, however, the ACLU found a local resident to agree with its secular view that all public prayer is offensive and unconstitutional. In November the liberal legal group filed a lawsuit on behalf of resident Sharon Cadalzo to stop a policy, implemented by the council a month before, which allowed council members to open meetings with prayers that reflected their own religious persuasions. The policy was implemented after the council grew concerned that someone would sue the community over the decades-long practice of opening the meetings with the Lord’s Prayer.

The concession by the council to broaden its perspective beyond a strictly Christian prayer was apparently not enough for the ACLU, which quickly sued the city to stop the practice altogether. “The policy clearly violated the New Jersey constitution, which obligates the government to not show a preference for one religion over another,” said Jeanne LoCicero of ACLU-NJ. “We support the right of government officials to pray on their own time, but when they act as the voice of government, they cannot promote their own religious beliefs.”

Of course, under the ACLU's reading of the New Jersey Constitution, even a public reading of that state's constitution would have to be found unconstitutional. The state's constitution opens with these words: "We, the people of the State of New Jersey, grateful to Almighty God for the civil and religious liberty which He hath so long permitted us to enjoy, and looking to Him for a blessing upon our endeavors to secure and transmit the same unimpaired to succeeding generations, do ordain and establish this Constitution." Likewise, the constitutions of every state in the United States open with similar phrases...MORE...LINK

Chris Moore comments:

Christianity is the touchstone of Western Civilization, which itself is the touchstone of the free world. The reason Christianity is so conducive to freedom is because it’s doctrinally, practically and historically conducive to dissent, outright rebellion, schism, reformation, reinvention, re-creation, etc. That’s why it has historically been so successful: if a person or group didn’t like one sect or denomination, they could start another -- and did.

Now contrast that with the ACLU’s left-wing ideology: historically rigid, viciously anti-Christian and anti-religious, hierarchically authoritarian, anti-free speech, anti-freedom, violently controlling, centralist, didactic...

The Left’s touchstones are Stalinist Bolshevism and Maoist Communism -- which not coincidentally were the two most murderous ideologies in the history of mankind.

No wonder the ACLU wants to sever America from it’s Christian roots -- in order to lay the groundwork for yet more totalitarianism. Again, not coincidentally, the further America gets from its Christian roots and the more victories the ACLU and other pseudo-liberal statist-Left groups like it win, the more centralized and totalitarian the country becomes.

The proof is in the pudding: ACLU “liberalism” is actually a totalitarian stalking horse. No surprise it hates Christianity.

***UPDATE***

After researching the ACLU as a Jewish front:

"Secularism" (so called) is actually not value neutral, as the ACLU and other left-wing groups affect to believe. In fact, all the left-wing, "secular humanist" groups like ACLU have done is smuggled "official atheism" into the country under the guise of "secularism," similarly to how Marx switched out the word or concept of "God" for the word "history," and then declared his findings "scientific."

Indeed, the real reason ACLU pursues its pseudo secular agenda is because it wants to impose its own religion of Marxism, which itself is a place holder for Jewish supremacism. Remember, Jews don't proselytize due to racism, so they need to prevent other religious competition from succeeding by using government as a stand in "religion" for the non-Jewish "cattle," and suppressor of other religions. This allows them to Jewish network their way into authority.

Notice how the ACLU never challenges the new "secular" federal ruling class' naked endorsement of religion in its blanket financial, economic, military and diplomatic aid to the officially religious "Jewish state" of Israel? Notice how the ACLU didn't challenged the Jewish network's manipulation of the system to angle itself into a hugely disproportionate representative and leadership role in the 111th Congress?

This is because the ACLU, like Marxism, is merely a Jewish front. Yes, it will pursue some worthy causes from time to time to paper over this reality, but the gist of what it does, and the thrust of its purposes, is to advance the Jewish supremacist agenda.

Again, the proof is in the pudding. With all it has "accomplished" over the years as a "civil rights organization," why are Americans' (not to mention much of the world's) civil rights in increasing peril and at an all time low at the hands of the Jewish dominated federal government? It's because the ACLU worked to ensure that America fell under Jewry's domination by methodically eliminating and suppressing Christian competition.

Why not simply allow a democratic vote by the city council on whether or not Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey council meeting should be opened with the Lord's Prayer? Because the (Jewish) ACLU doesn't like democratic outcomes attained by a Christian majority, and prefers pseudo-secular outcomes imposed by the Jewish supremacist Zionist network.

Oh, but we must never mention this. Doing so would make us guilty of "anti-Semitism," a federal "hate crime" according to the Jewish supremacist left-wingers and neocons (and their various useful idiots on Right and Left.)

Generation that destroyed America now faces bleak retirement as plunder led to earlier meltdown than planned

From:
Boomers' plan for retirement? They thought you had that covered

(Journal Sentinel) -- by Patrick McIlheran --

About 10,000 baby boomers a day will be retiring for the next 19 years, the Associated Press reports, without much knowing how it’s going to get paid for. I dare you to tell me you were surprised.

“The situation is extremely serious because baby boomers have not saved very effectively for retirement and are still retiring too early,” Olivia Mitchell, director of the Boettner Center for Pensions and Retirement Research at the University of Pennsylvania, tells the AP.

The wire service then goes and finds some enlightening examples:

“Michael Vanatta, 61, of Vero Beach, Fla., is paying the price for being a boomer who enjoyed life without saving for the future. He put a daughter through college, but he also spent plenty of money on indulgences like dining out and the latest electronic gadgets.

"Vanatta was laid off last January from his $100,000-a-year job as a sales executive for a turf company. And with savings of just $5,000, he's on a budget for the first time. In April, he will start taking Social Security at age 62.

“ ‘If I'd been smarter and planned and had the bucks, I'd wait until 70,’ says Vanatta, who is divorced and rents an apartment. ‘It's my fault. For years I was making plenty of money and spending plenty of money.’”

It isn’t that they didn’t have a plan, then. They did. The plan is to let the people farther back in line pick up the tab...MORE...LINK

Chris Moore comments:

It's really not just the Boomers (b. 1946-1964). I would lay most of the blame at the feet of what I call the McCain-Cheney-Bush-Clinton generation, or "The Worst Generation," born roughly between 1935 and 1955. These are truly the most cowardly, greedy, politically and socially selfish and irresponsible, and shamelessly hypocritical Americans ever born.

They are the ones who allowed the Judeofascists to penetrate the highest levels of society and plunder the country -- actually joining in with them in its dismantlement as their Shyster Class and Government Class sold off and outsourced its economic base for peanuts in order to enrich itself via crony government and Wall Street. They partnered with the Judeofascists in the Mideast Wars for Israel starting with Bush I, moving along to Clinton's endless sanctions and bombings against Iraq and his bombing of Christian Serbia, the baiting, enabling and implementation of the 9/11 attacks in order to use them as a pretext for Bush/Cheney to lie America into full blown Mideast wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, and now Pakistan, also for Israel, which have further destroyed America.

This entire time, they held themselves up as "patriots" and "progressives," patting themselves on the back for how "tolerant" and "diverse" they were for their Judeophile liberalism and Judeo-Christian Zionism, what enviable "New World Men" (as in the Rush song, which Bill Clinton no doubt lip-synced to himself in the White House bathroom mirror every morning) they were, New World Men who had left "old Europe" behind, (as the pompous ass Donald Rumsfeld put it, implicitly referring to its anti-Semitism).

Yet, look at America now under their watch, and look at what they've done to the country -- essentially destroyed, squandered and plundered in less than 30 years what it took generations of Americans to build. As it turns out, "old Europe" (as epitomized by the traditional Christians who built America as well) knew a hell of a lot more about the world and about reality than they did.

And this is why they'll go down in American history is "The Worst Generation."

May they rot in hell.

TSA: Airports Are Only the Beginning

(The New American) -- Written by Becky Akers --

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA), notorious for groping and ogling naked passengers at checkpoints, has long claimed that its “mission” is “protect[ing] the Nation’s transportation systems to ensure freedom of movement for people and commerce.” You may ask how delaying travelers in enormously long lines “ensure[s] freedom of movement”; recall that these same jokers contend as well that their sexual assaults protect us. At least their double-speak and Orwellian “logic” are consistent.

As the TSA’s attacks on travelers escalated in the weeks prior to Thanksgiving, many commentators feared that if the agency prevailed in its molestation, it would extend its abuses everywhere. “If we allow them to implement these procedures in our airports,” an unattributed article at endoftheamericandream.com warned, “pretty soon they will start popping up in subway stations, courthouses, sports stadiums and even at our workplaces.”

Unfortunately, the TSA didn’t wait to see whether we “allowed” it to “implement these procedures” or any others: they’ve been “popping up in subway stations, courthouses, sports stadiums and even at our workplaces” for years now. The agency is remarkably lax about finding terrorists, so lax, in fact, that no one in its employ anywhere at any time has ever ferreted out a single one. But it busily fulfills its “mission” of controlling every mode of transportation — and much, much more. Indeed, cynics who maintain that the agency has nothing to do with security and everything to do with dictatorship would argue it far exceeds that “mission,” the better to teach us serfs who’s in charge.

Since government at one level or another outright owns or heavily subsidizes and regulates virtually all transportation in this country, the TSA encounters little resistance to its malignant growth (aside from turf wars, that is: the local cops it tries to enlist in its efforts disdain the TSA’s unarmed, unprofessional buffoons).

It has long “partnered” with Amtrak, for instance, bragging on September 23, 2008: “Amtrak Office of Security Strategy and Special Operations (OSSSO), Amtrak Police, Transportation Security Administration (TSA) personnel and officers from approximately 100 commuter rail, state, and local police agencies mobilized today for the largest joint, simultaneous Northeast rail security operation of its kind, involving 150 railway stations between Fredericksburg, Virginia, and Essex Junction, Vermont.”

The “750,000 rail passengers [who] ride along the Northeast Corridor and other rail systems integrated with [it]” would have witnessed this “highly visible police and security presence.” They may even have suffered one of its “random passenger bag inspections.” Can the sexual abuse and pornographic scanning the TSA inflicts at airports be far behind?

Undoubtedly, many “domestic terrorists” lurked among those 750,000, given the Department of Homeland Security’s generous definition of the term: Its report last year on “Rightwing Extremism” smeared militias, veterans, protestors of abortion and of the UN — basically anyone who balks at Our Rulers’ evisceration of the Constitution. “Terrorists” riding the Northeast Corridor have now tasted the Feds’ power: Wanna bet they’ll think twice before challenging it?...MORE...LINK

Federal Reserve/Keynesian boom-bust scam: Most corrupt and parasitic government-connected crony banks survive, Main Street banks go bust

From:
Many Bailed-out Banks May Fail Anyway

(The New American) -- by Charles Scaliger --

As many as 98 banks, which took in a total of $4.2 billion from the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), may fail anyway, according to a study of third quarter earnings by the Wall Street Journal. Although the federal government originally promised to use TARP funds only to help healthy banks, the Wall Street Journal’s study tells a rather different tale. The banks in question are hamstrung by “eroding capital levels, a pileup of bad loans and warnings from regulators,” much of them stemming from risky commercial real estate loans gone sour.

Also significant is that most of the banks on the list are small, averaging $439 million in assets. The Wall Street mega-banks are once again flush with cash — but then, many of those privileged institutions, numbered among the Federal Reserve’s “primary dealers” with whom open market operations are conducted, have had direct access to Federal Reserve funds via the Fed’s new Primary Dealer Credit Facility and Term Securities Lending Facility. Goldman-Sachs, for instance, a primary dealer that has made enormous profits during the financial crisis, had more than $75 billion by the end of the third quarter and has paid back all its government loans.

Already seven bailed-out banks have failed, at a cost to the taxpayer of $2.7 billion. But the real tale of the Great Bank Bailout has been the shameless financial favoritism lavished on the largest banks, in the United States and abroad, who are fortunate enough to be allowed to conduct business directly with the Federal Reserve. Those institutions are the first recipients of the massive amounts of new money the Fed pours into the money supply via the coyly named process of “qualitative easing.” Their balance sheets have ballooned well in advance of the inflationary rising prices that will hurt the rest of us once the money begins to circulate.

Thus it is, and has been since the inception of the Federal Reserve System, that the rich — the largest financial institutions and their direct benficiaries — continue to get richer, while the poor — the rest of us, including thousands of local banks nationwide — get poorer and poorer, both by having our taxpayers dollars siphoned away and by having our currency destroyed in order to keep the wealthiest banks afloat...LINK

Hysterical reaction to anti-Big Government Wikileaks reveals movement "conservatives" as frauds and anti-American neocons

From:
WikiLeaks' Conservative Purpose

(Campaign For Liberty) -- by Jack Hunter --

...To say that government must keep secrets is not to say that all government secrets must be kept.

Even Pentagon officials and Defense Secretary Robert Gates admitted that none of WikiLeaks' revelations do anything to compromise national security or endanger American lives, but they have wreaked havoc on political life in Washington, D.C. Apparently, Americans are not supposed to know that Saudi Arabia has been encouraging the U.S. to take military action against Iran behind-the-scenes. But if we end up going to war with Iran shouldn't it be in America's national interest, and not simply as a subcontractor for another country? Fox News' Judith Miller asks, "Why should Americans not know that Arab states, often at the top level, have been urging Washington to take military or other drastic action against Iran, while they publicly oppose such action?"

And when did conservatives become so protective of Hillary Clinton? What happened to the days of the "Stop Hillary Express," when right-wing talk radio portrayed the former first lady as Satan and discussed all the devious ways in which, if in power, she might conspire to bring down the entire country? When WikiLeaks revealed that Secretary of State Clinton tried to obtain DNA samples, fingerprints, credit card numbers, and other private information belonging to United Nations officials, we learned that Clinton's style was every bit as mafia-esque as her conservative critics once warned. Yet, conservatives now attack WikiLeaks for revealing what they once feared.

It should also be remembered that the same conservatives now calling for Assange's head either ignored or were sympathetic to Lewis "Scooter" Libby's outing of CIA operative Valerie Plame, allegedly at the Bush administration's behest. Plame's outing was arguably a far greater threat to our national security than anything that has been released by WikiLeaks.

But the worst example of conservative hypocrisy has been the way the Right has reflexively defended the government and attacked WikiLeaks. Since when have conservatives believed that Washington should be able to shroud any action it likes in secrecy and that revealing government's nefarious deeds is tantamount to treason?

Interestingly, the WikiLeaks' founder espouses a traditionally conservative, Jeffersonian view that America's constitutional structure limits and lessens government corruption. According to Time, Assange's criticism of the U.S. stems from a "combination of the burgeoning power of the central government and a presidency that can expand its influence only by way of foreign affairs," not the power of individual states to slow this process...MORE...LINK

From federal to state government and local municipalities, grifter government on the brink

From:
Municipal Bond Market Crash 2011: Are Dozens Of State And Local Governments About To Default On Their Debts?

(The Economic Collapse) --

In the United States, it is not just the federal government that has a horrific debt problem. Today, state and local governments across America are collectively deeper in debt than they ever have been before. In fact, state and local government debt is now sitting at an all-time high of 22 percent of U.S. GDP. Once upon a time, municipal bonds (used to fund such things as roads, sewer systems and government buildings) were viewed as incredibly safe investments. They were considered to have virtually no risk. But now all of that has changed. Many analysts are now openly speaking of the possibility of a municipal bond market crash in 2011. The truth is that dozens upon dozens of city and county governments are teetering on the brink of bankruptcy. Even the debt of some of our biggest state governments, such as Illinois and California, is essentially considered to be "junk" at this point. There are literally hundreds of governmental financial implosions happening in slow motion from coast to coast, and up to this point not a lot of people in the mainstream media have been talking about it.

Fortunately, a recent report on 60 Minutes has brought these issues to light. If you have not seen it yet, do yourself a favor and click on the video below and spend a few minutes watching it. It is absolutely stunning.

In the piece, one of the people that 60 Minutes interviewed was Meredith Whitney - one of the most respected financial analysts in the United States. According to Whitney, the municipal bond crisis that we are facing is a massive threat to our financial system....

"It has tentacles as wide as anything I’ve seen. I think next to housing this is the single most important issue in the United States and certainly the largest threat to the U.S. economy."

State and local governments across the United States are facing a complete and total financial nightmare. The 60 Minutes report posted below does a pretty good job of describing the problem but it doesn't even pretend to come up with any solutions...

Unlike the federal government, state and local governments cannot just ask the Federal Reserve to print up endless amounts of cash. If state and local governments want to spend more than they bring in, they must borrow it from investors.

If the municipal bond market crashes, and investors around the world are no longer willing to hand over gigantic sacks of cash to state and local governments in the United States, then the game is over. Either state and local governments will have to raise taxes or they will have to start spending within their means.

Most Americans have no idea what this would mean. For decade after decade, state and local governments throughout the nation have been living way, way, way above their means. If the debt cycle gets cut off, it is going to mean that many local communities around the nation will start degenerating into rotting hellholes nearly overnight.

We are already seeing this happen in places such as Detroit, Michigan and Camden, New Jersey but if the municipal bond market totally collapses we are quickly going to have dozens of Detroits and Camdens from coast to coast.

Let's take a closer look at some of the state and local governments that are in some of the biggest trouble...MORE...LINK

Tyranny of the "secular" minority: The imposition of a Christ-less Christmas

From:
“Merry __________mas”

(The New American) -- by Dan Fisher --

This December, on courthouse lawns and other public places across America, you’ll see decorative lights, Santa and his reindeer, snowmen, “holiday trees,” and maybe even an angel or two. The only guest who’ll probably be missing from this birthday party is the guest of honor himself. Oddly, there’s even room for elves, tin soldiers, candy canes, and sugarplums — just no room for Christ. The lunacy of celebrating a holiday called Christmas that commemorates the birth of Christ without recognizing Christ could only happen in the philosophically inconsistent but politically correct America. Think of it: You can openly celebrate Christmas just as long as you don’t mention Christ.

Does this make any sense? Imagine if the same politically correct standard were applied to the celebration of other holidays. Imagine the celebration of Hanukkah where Jews are expected to forgo the Festival of Lights or other Jewish traditions. How receptive do you think Muslims would be to the idea of celebrating Ramadan with no mention of Allah, the Quran, or Muhammad? Imagine Valentine’s Day without any references to Saint Valentine — a day where only candy and flowers could be displayed. What kind of sense would it make to not be able to talk about Columbus on Columbus Day — Columbus, Ohio, perhaps, but not Christopher Columbus? What if on Martin Luther King’s birthday, instead of honoring Martin Luther King, we honored fictional characters and animals? How well would that fly?

Ridiculous? No more ridiculous than celebrating a Christ-less Christmas...MORE...LINK

Only a small band of Ron Paul libertarians and Tea Partiers ready, able and willing to strike at the heart of the Fed's evil empire

From:
No Criticism of Bernanke Is Allowed

(LewRockwell.com) -- by Gary North --

...The threat to the economy, according to Bernanke, is price deflation. Inflation is not a threat, he says. If it ever becomes a threat, he insists, the FOMC will reverse its policy and sell assets, thereby shrinking the monetary base. This will push any overheated economy back into low price inflation, which he says should be 2% per annum – a doubling of prices every 35 years.

There has been mild criticism of the FED from within the conservative camp. The main critics have been Austrian School economists, best represented by Ron Paul. Their hostility to central banking extends back almost a century to Ludwig von Mises's book, The Theory of Money and Credit (1912). That book criticized central banking as an agency of perpetual price inflation. So they have all turned out to be...

There are thousands of economists either on the payroll of the Federal Reserve System or else occasional recipients of financial support. From within the community of economists, only the Austrians have been full-time critics.

This indicates that the opposition in the electorate has taken its cues from the Austrian School. Voters who think the FED has gone too far are not readers of academic papers or James Grant's newsletter. In any case, Grant is probably closer to the Austrian School's position than the other signers.

The Federal Reserve has become a kind of lightning rod of protest for the Tea Party movement. This indicates a major increase in influence by the Austrians. It is not that their ranks are filling with trained economists. It is that the public has heard Ron Paul's message and has moved on to the sources of his analysis.

A NEW AUDIENCE

Austrian School economists since the 1930s have offered an analysis of economic depressions that is tied to the practices of central banks: first inflating the money supply, then stabilizing it. This creates the boom-bust cycle. This has been denied by Keynesians from the beginning, but it also has been denied by the monetarists, who accept in theory and practice central banking.

The failure of central bankers prior to 2008 to see the looming recession has left them without excuse, except for this one: "Nobody could have seen it coming." But a lot of somebodies did see it coming: Austrian School economists and analysts. The defenders refuse to acknowledge this school of opinion, let alone the analytical framework that let them forecast what did take place.

Because millions of voters heard Ron Paul's ideas in the 2008 Presidential campaign, they were alerted to the operations of the FED. Most of them had not heard of the FED in any detail prior to 2008. This was fortuitous. There was a falling economy at the same time that the only Austrian School member of Congress decided to run for President. Then the money rolled in because of the Internet. This stunned the Beltway incumbents.

This combination of events has launched a new phase of Austrian School economics. This has come as an unwelcome surprise to the traditional Republican Establishment, which includes Chicago School economists in the tradition of Milton Friedman. The neoconservatives are also upset. They had enjoyed a near monopoly of opinion within the conservative activist movement. They are not pleased that far more radical critics of the government and the FED have begun to get a hearing.

FRUM MISLEADS THE TROOPS

David Frum, a neoconservative Canadian journalist and former Bush speechwriter, has lamented this development. He coined part of the phrase, "axis of evil," but when his wife went public about his role, he got fired by the White House.

Frum rewrites the history of conservative economic thought, as having favored high interest rates.

"Thirty years ago, right-of-center economists did not celebrate high interest rates as a safeguard of the currency."

Monetarists and Austrian School economists agreed in theory, then as now: the way to safeguard the currency is to stop inflating the currency. If this leads to high rates – as it did under Volcker, 1979–82 – so be it. If not, then not. The central issue is the rate of money expansion. The Austrians oppose central banking because the system leads to monetary inflation. The monetarists want a rule to govern the FED. But neither side asks for high rates or low rates. They ask for market-determined rates...

Frum lives in a fantasy world, where hobgoblins from Vienna threaten the cozy arrangement that lines up almost all political factions on the side of the Federal government and the Federal Reserve System. Even a hint of opposition to the Federal Reserve is seen as a tidal wave of opposition.

I wish that Frum's fantasy were grounded in reality. I wish that the FOMC were facing open opposition from the political Establishment, or even a significant faction within that Establishment. But such is not the case. The Federal Reserve is still in the driver's seat. The FED will inflate without serious criticism.

Compared to what has gone before, this open rebellion against the FED is significant, but not as a storm. It is more like the coming storm that God described to Elijah in the latter's darkest moment: a cloud no bigger than a man's hand. It pointed to a change.

We should think of the opposition to the FED as the stirrings of a counter-movement. It is nowhere near an organized political movement yet.

CONCLUSION

The visible failures of the FED under Bernanke have led to criticism from outside the Establishment. This criticism is getting a wide hearing, because of Ron Paul and also the Internet. The hearing may be wide, but it is not deep. It is sporadic. People on the fringes of political life are learning of a hidden story in American history: the story of central banking and its debarment of the dollar after 1913.

This story needs to be told. It points to the future. The critics of Bernanke today are going to get a greater hearing when the FED's interventions cause even more economic pain.

This is a cloud no bigger than a man's hand. It will produce a political storm after the FED's policies produce an economic storm.

The neoconservatives, monetarists, supply-siders, and other schools of economic opinion have bet the farm on the Federal Reserve. They will lose this bet...MORE...LINK

Western media censoring Israel-related Wikileaks due to Jewish "sensitivities," says Assange, but document dump on Zionist intrigue coming soon

From:
WikiLeaks to release Israel documents in six months

(The Peninsula) --

DOHA: WikiLeaks will release top secret American files concerning Israel in the next six months, its founder Julian Assange disclosed yesterday.

In an excusive interview with Al Jazeera, Assange said only a meagre number of files related to Israel had been published so far, because the newspapers in the West that were given exclusive rights to publish the secret documents were reluctant to publish many sensitive information about Israel.

“There are 3,700 files related to Israel and the source of 2,700 files is Israel. In the next six months we intend to publish more files depending on our sources,” said Assange in the nearly one-hour interview telecast live from the UK.

Asked if Israel had tried to contact him though mediators, Assange said, “No, no contacts with Israel but I am sure Mossad is following our activities closely like Australia, Sweden and the CIA.

“The Guardian, El-Pais and Le Monde have published only two percent of the files related to Israel due to the sensitive relations between Germany, France and Israel. Even New York Times could not publish more due to the sensitivities related to the Jewish community in the US,” he added.

Excerpts from the interview:

An Arabic newspaper called Al Haqeeq conducted an interview with one of your former colleagues who said you have a deal with Israel not to publish these secret files.

This is not true. We have been accused as agents of Iran and CIA by this former colleague who was working for Germany in the past and was dismissed from his job after we published American military documents related to Germany.

We were the biggest institution receiving official funding from the US but after we released a video tape about killing people in cold blood in Iraq in 2007, the funding stopped and we had to depend on individuals for finance.

When will you publish the files related to Israel on your website?

We will publish 3700 files and the source is the American embassy in Tel Aviv. Prime Minister Netanyahu was traveling to Paris to talk to the US ambassador there. You will see more information about that in six months.

Do these Israeli files speak about the July 2006 Israeli war against Lebanon?

Yes there is some information about that and these files were classified as top secret.

Is there any relation with these files and the assassination of Hamas military leader Al Mabhoh in Dubai?

Yes there are some indication to this and may be some special reports published by newspapers. Mossad agents used Australian, British and European passports to travel to Dubai and there are diplomatic files about that.

Are there any security service companies providing information to international airports and monitoring passengers even in the Arab countries?

There are some files about American and Israeli security companies that tried to intervene in certain areas. For example, in Brazil, the American embassy put some Israeli security companies during the Olympic Games.

Are there any files about agencies providing intelligence information about famous personalities in the Arab world?

I am not sure about that but there are files about Hezbollah in Lebanon. In one of these files Lebanon government complained against cables passing near the French embassy. American are always very much worried about the telecommunications network.

Most of the files related to Mossad are classified as top secret but there may be some files related to the role of Mossad in killing Lebanese military leader in Damascus by sniper bullets.

Chris Moore comments:

Assange is quite diplomatic with his Jewish "sensitivities" language, which is probably smart of him given his current circumstances, but the truth is that the concept of Jewish sensitivities is simply a ruse used to advance the ideological Zionist agenda that dare not speak its name. Yes, we must never discuss the murderous ideological Zionism (Jewish supremacism) of our Judeophile liberal and Judeo Christian Zionist leaders because of "Jewish sensitivities." Indeed, the Jewish dominated Western media aren't censoring the Wikileaks documents relating to Israel because they are ideologically Zionist themselves, but rather because of "Jewish sensitivities."

How convenient for the corrupt, post-Christian, liberal-capitalist Establishment that they can hide their murderous, sociopathic globalizationist ideology behind a straw man of "Jewish sensitivities."

I'm not ridiculing Assange on this, but rather the entire politically correct regiment that maintains the bodyguard of lies surrounding the depraved liberal-capitalist Establishment and its kosher nostra thug partners in crime.

What shameless and utterly disgusting lowlifes they are. Western civilization better find a way to take down the lot of them fast, or it can bend over and kiss its own ass goodbye, because they've gotten us well down the road to totalitarian self-extinction.

Censorship Attempts

Other Journalists 'Going to Be Next," Assange Fears
(AntiWar.com) -- by Jason Ditz --

Speaking today on MSNBC in an interview with Cenk Uyguy, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange expressed serious concerns about the Obama Administration’s interests in censoring his website’s publications, warning that the erosion of the First Amendment isn’t going to stop with him.

Speaking of the “quite deliberate attempts to split off our organization from the First Amendment protections that are afforded to all publishers,” Assange cautioned that other journalists should be worried because “they’re going to be next.”

The State Department insisted last week that Assange wasn’t a journalist because he “has an agenda,” though of course the First Amendment guarantees of Freedom of the Press do not include any restrictions to a specific class, nor does US law provide any system to officially license approved journalists.

Assange also condemned the repeated calls by US politicians to assassinate him, insisting that they raised serious questions about the United States as a country dedicated to the rule of law.

Assange also rejected the notion that he was guilty of ‘conspiring” with Bradley Manning, insisting that “isn’t how our technology works” and that he had never even heard of Bradley Manning until he was arrested and had literally no idea who provided WikiLeaks with the leaked classified data...MORE...LINK

Last nail in the coffin of Western civilization? Cultural Marxists and liberal capitalist neocons stick it to the U.S. military

From:
Christian Rout in the Culture War

(The American Conservative) -- by Patrick J. Buchanan --

A Democratic Congress, discharged by the voters on Nov. 2, has as one of its last official acts, imposed its San Francisco values on the armed forces of the United States.

"Don't ask, don't tell" is to be repealed. Open homosexuals are to be welcomed with open arms in all branches of the armed services.

Let us hope this works out better for the Marine Corps than it did for the Catholic Church.

Remarkable. The least respected of American institutions, Congress, with an approval rating of 13 percent, is imposing its cultural and moral values on the most respected of American institutions, the U.S. military.

Why are we undertaking this social experiment with the finest military on earth? Does justice demand it? Was there a national clamor for it?

No. It is being imposed from above by people, few of whom have ever served or seen combat, but all of whom are aware of the power of the homosexual rights lobby. This is a political payoff, at the expense of our military, to a militant minority inside the Democratic Party that is demanding this as the price of that special interest's financial and political support.

Among the soldiers most opposed to bringing open homosexuals into the ranks are combat veterans, who warn that this will create grave problems of unit cohesion and morale.

One Marine commandant after another asked Congress to consider the issue from a single standpoint:

Will the admission of gay men into barracks at Pendleton and Parris Island enhance the fighting effectiveness of the Corps?

Common sense suggests that the opposite is the almost certain result.

Can anyone believe that mixing small-town and rural 18-, 19- and 20-year-old Christian kids, aspiring Marines, in with men sexually attracted to them is not going to cause hellish problems?

The Marines have been sacrificed by the Democratic Party and Barack Obama to the homosexual lobby, with the collusion of no fewer than eight Republican senators.

This is a victory in the culture war for the new morality of the social revolution of the 1960s and a defeat for traditional Judeo-Christian values. For only in secularist ideology is it an article of faith that all sexual relations are morally equal and that to declare homosexual acts immoral is bigotry.

But while this new morality may be orthodoxy among our elites in the academy, media, culture and the arts, Middle America has never signed on and still regards homosexuality as an aberrant lifestyle, both socially and spiritually ruinous.

To these folks, homosexuality is associated with a high incidence of disease, HIV/AIDS, early death, cultural decadence and civilizational decline. And no sensitivity training at Camp Lejeune is going to change that.

Behind these traditionalist beliefs lie the primary sources of moral authority for traditionalist America: the Old and New Testaments, Christian doctrine, natural law. Thomas Jefferson believed homosexuality should be treated with the same severity as rape.

And 31 consecutive defeats for same-sex marriage in state referenda testifies that Middle America sees the new morality as the artificial invention of pseudo-intellectuals to put a high gloss on a low lifestyle.

Not until recent decades have many in America or the West argued that homosexuality is natural and normal. As late as 1973, the American Psychiatric Association listed homosexuality as a mental disorder.

Today, anyone who agrees with that original APA assessment is himself or herself said to be afflicted with a mental disorder: homophobia...MORE...LINK

I’ve just finished watching FOX news and the ecstatic acceptance of openly gay soldiers by movement conservative high priests Bill Kristol and Charles Krauthammer. The black Democrat and official liberal Juan Williams raised some reservations about lifting the ban and sounded almost like Pat Buchanan in comparison to Kristol and Krauthammer. Well there’s another family value, heterosexuality, that is being thrown out the window in order to strenghen the neoconservative alliance with socially liberal war mongers. Since they don’t have to worry about serious opposition in the movement they control, they can continue to move left on the cultural front.

Chris Moore comments:

Left or Right, Judeofascists never stray far from their warped, pharisaic, statist-authoritarian pathologies; all that really changes is the type of sickness and corruption they seek to impose upon society at pain of imprisonment or death.

Neocon Pharisees Kristol and Krauthammer and their Judeofascist Marxist partners on the Left will accept nothing less than a prostituted, lobotomized, American Zombie rampaging around the globe at their command, assaulting anyone or anything that doesn't conform to their daily whims, particualaristic neuroses, or compulsive contrarian perversions.

There can never be peace, for anyone, with psychopaths like this in charge, or anywhere near the reins of power. Their sickness and insanity has no bottom, and will only end when they do.

The U.S. military is clearly just their play thing, and they want everyone to know it -- especially the military itself.

***

And why do homosexuals, latent homosexuals and homo-philes want to impose gay tolerance on the U.S. military anyway? Is it for the same reasons that the neocons wanted to impose pluralism on the Mideast? Is it because they want the particularistic minority tail to wag the majority dog? To “prove” that their deviance isn’t deviant at all, no matter how many people or civilizations they have to destroy to gain acceptance? To what end? When put in charge, all they do is nurse murderous grudges against the majority, seek to sow strife and chaos — and then go about declaring how special they are for sowing strife and chaos.

These people don’t want world peace or acceptance. None of them. They’re not happy unless they’re stirring enmity, and poking fingers in the majority’s eyes. And they hate Western civilization to the core. Their actions prove it.

***

I couldn't care less about the existence of homosexuality, but it's the institutionalization of their "rights" (which in the context of Western civilization, necessarily means the "right" to poke their fingers in the eyes of the majority's ethos, values and norms) that's the problem; the same goes for Jews.

When a deviant minority's "rights" are institutionalized, it inevitably leads to institutionalized preferences, and eventually the overthrow of the majority's ethos, which in this case means the overthrow of America and, down the line, the entirety of Western civilization. The Jewish overthrow of America's political, economic, and social hierarchy is proof positive of where institutionalizing preferences for an angry minority with "issues" inevitably leads.

Better to let the marketplace of ideas rule out, with everyone on the same playing field voting with their feet, or at the ballot box. Why not allow the military itself to vote on this question? They are the ones who have to put their lives on the line. Oh, but that would by "tyranny of the majority," say the deviants when they don't like the outcome of a democratic vote. That's why they become tribal fascist hell bent on using the government to ram their "orientation" down the majority's throat.

Disintegrating California: the nightmare American future being engineered by the left-liberal-capitalist, neocon-neolib, open borders Establishment

From:
Two Californias

Abandoned farms, Third World living conditions, pervasive public assistance -- welcome to the once-thriving Central Valley.
(National Review) -- by Victor Davis Hanson --

The last three weeks I have traveled about, taking the pulse of the more forgotten areas of central California. I wanted to witness, even if superficially, what is happening to a state that has the highest sales and income taxes, the most lavish entitlements, the near-worst public schools (based on federal test scores), and the largest number of illegal aliens in the nation, along with an overregulated private sector, a stagnant and shrinking manufacturing base, and an elite environmental ethos that restricts commerce and productivity without curbing consumption.

During this unscientific experiment, three times a week I rode a bike on a 20-mile trip over various rural roads in southwestern Fresno County. I also drove my car over to the coast to work, on various routes through towns like San Joaquin, Mendota, and Firebaugh. And near my home I have been driving, shopping, and touring by intent the rather segregated and impoverished areas of Caruthers, Fowler, Laton, Orange Cove, Parlier, and Selma. My own farmhouse is now in an area of abject poverty and almost no ethnic diversity; the closest elementary school (my alma mater, two miles away) is 94 percent Hispanic and 1 percent white, and well below federal testing norms in math and English.

Here are some general observations about what I saw (other than that the rural roads of California are fast turning into rubble, poorly maintained and reverting to what I remember seeing long ago in the rural South). First, remember that these areas are the ground zero, so to speak, of 20 years of illegal immigration. There has been a general depression in farming — to such an extent that the 20- to-100-acre tree and vine farmer, the erstwhile backbone of the old rural California, for all practical purposes has ceased to exist.

On the western side of the Central Valley, the effects of arbitrary cutoffs in federal irrigation water have idled tens of thousands of acres of prime agricultural land, leaving thousands unemployed. Manufacturing plants in the towns in these areas — which used to make harvesters, hydraulic lifts, trailers, food-processing equipment — have largely shut down; their production has been shipped off overseas or south of the border. Agriculture itself — from almonds to raisins — has increasingly become corporatized and mechanized, cutting by half the number of farm workers needed. So unemployment runs somewhere between 15 and 20 percent.

Many of the rural trailer-house compounds I saw appear to the naked eye no different from what I have seen in the Third World. There is a Caribbean look to the junked cars, electric wires crisscrossing between various outbuildings, plastic tarps substituting for replacement shingles, lean-tos cobbled together as auxiliary housing, pit bulls unleashed, and geese, goats, and chickens roaming around the yards. The public hears about all sorts of tough California regulations that stymie business — rigid zoning laws, strict building codes, constant inspections — but apparently none of that applies out here.

It is almost as if the more California regulates, the more it does not regulate. Its public employees prefer to go after misdemeanors in the upscale areas to justify our expensive oversight industry, while ignoring the felonies in the downtrodden areas, which are becoming feral and beyond the ability of any inspector to do anything but feel irrelevant. But in the regulators’ defense, where would one get the money to redo an ad hoc trailer park with a spider web of illegal bare wires?...

California coastal elites may worry about the oxygen content of water available to a three-inch smelt in the Sacramento–San Joaquin River Delta, but they seem to have no interest in the epidemic dumping of trash, furniture, and often toxic substances throughout California’s rural hinterland. Yesterday, for example, I rode my bike by a stopped van just as the occupants tossed seven plastic bags of raw refuse onto the side of the road. I rode up near their bumper and said in my broken Spanish not to throw garbage onto the public road. But there were three of them, and one of me. So I was lucky to be sworn at only. I note in passing that I would not drive into Mexico and, as a guest, dare to pull over and throw seven bags of trash into the environment of my host.

In fact, trash piles are commonplace out here — composed of everything from half-empty paint cans and children’s plastic toys to diapers and moldy food. I have never seen a rural sheriff cite a litterer, or witnessed state EPA workers cleaning up these unauthorized wastelands. So I would suggest to Bay Area scientists that the environment is taking a much harder beating down here in central California than it is in the Delta. Perhaps before we cut off more irrigation water to the west side of the valley, we might invest some green dollars into cleaning up the unsightly and sometimes dangerous garbage that now litters the outskirts of our rural communities.

We hear about the tough small-business regulations that have driven residents out of the state, at the rate of 2,000 to 3,000 a week. But from my unscientific observations these past weeks, it seems rather easy to open a small business in California without any oversight at all, or at least what I might call a “counter business.” I counted eleven mobile hot-kitchen trucks that simply park by the side of the road, spread about some plastic chairs, pull down a tarp canopy, and, presto, become mini-restaurants. There are no “facilities” such as toilets or washrooms. But I do frequently see lard trails on the isolated roads I bike on, where trucks apparently have simply opened their draining tanks and sped on, leaving a slick of cooking fats and oils. Crows and ground squirrels love them; they can be seen from a distance mysteriously occupied in the middle of the road.

At crossroads, peddlers in a counter-California economy sell almost anything. Here is what I noticed at an intersection on the west side last week: shovels, rakes, hoes, gas pumps, lawnmowers, edgers, blowers, jackets, gloves, and caps. The merchandise was all new. I doubt whether in high-tax California sales taxes or income taxes were paid on any of these stop-and-go transactions.

In two supermarkets 50 miles apart, I was the only one in line who did not pay with a social-service plastic card (gone are the days when “food stamps” were embarrassing bulky coupons). But I did not see any relationship between the use of the card and poverty as we once knew it: The electrical appurtenances owned by the user and the car into which the groceries were loaded were indistinguishable from those of the upper middle class...

Do diversity concerns, as in lack of diversity, work both ways? Over a hundred-mile stretch, when I stopped in San Joaquin for a bottled water, or drove through Orange Cove, or got gas in Parlier, or went to a corner market in southwestern Selma, my home town, I was the only non-Hispanic — there were no Asians, no blacks, no other whites. We may speak of the richness of “diversity,” but those who cherish that ideal simply have no idea that there are now countless inland communities that have become near-apartheid societies, where Spanish is the first language, the schools are not at all diverse, and the federal and state governments are either the main employers or at least the chief sources of income — whether through emergency rooms, rural health clinics, public schools, or social-service offices. An observer from Mars might conclude that our elites and masses have given up on the ideal of integration and assimilation, perhaps in the wake of the arrival of 11 to 15 million illegal aliens...MORE...LINK

DHS: Terrorists Might Poison Buffets

Officials Term Threat Against Salad Bars 'Credible'
(AntiWar.com) -- by Jason Ditz --

Giving a convenient shot in the arm to the on-again, off-again efforts to pass a “food safety bill,” the Department of Homeland Security is said to be looking into a plot by al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) to poison all you can eat buffets and salad bars.

The plot, which was revealed by CBS, is said to involve slipping small amounts of poison into food at buffets, the latest in a long series of ridiculous sounding plots that have been hyped by the organization.

AQAP has been quite keen to come up with such plots and they have been eagerly reported by certain press outlets as major threats to the nation. A previous AQAP magazine article revealed the idea of welding a bunch of swords to the front of a Ford 4×4 truck and driving it into a nearby crowd of civilians.

That magazine also floated the idea of a shooting in a random restaurant somewhere around the DC area. Neither happened, but they seem to be extremely well suited to scaring the public into the idea that they are facing imminent attack at any given time...LINK

Proclaiming Victory, Predicting Failure: The Obama Administration’s Bizarre Afghanistan ‘Promise’

(AntiWar.com) -- by Jason Ditz --

In high profile comments made only yesterday, Vice President Joe Biden declared that the United States was on the verge of victory in Afghanistan, and that the United States and its 100,000 occupation troops would be “totally out of there, come hell or high water, by 2014.”

Its a promise, at least as close as the Vice President could come without using the actual word “promise,” but it is one which every single report and every single official statement, beyond a couple days of trying to spin the war as showing “progress,” totally contradicts.

The Obama Administration just got done with the NATO summit in Lisbon, which eyed the beginning of a serious transfer to Afghan security forces started in 2015. Even that was dismissed by the Pentagon as overly optimistic, and a number of officials have insisted that even after the “transition” troops will be fighting in Afghanistan for decades, open-endedly.

The “promise,” such as it is, seems to be a function of President Obama’s Thursday speech, claiming massive progress in the war, convincing virtually no one. At the same time it is a promise that no one seriously expects will be kept, leaving many grasping for a word that means the same thing as “overt liar” but isn’t as likely to hurt the Vice President’s feelings...LINK

From:
Biden Condemns Assange as ‘High Tech Terrorist’

Says Justice Dept 'Looking' Into Action Against WikiLeaks
(AntiWar.com) -- by Jason Ditz --

Echoing verbatim comments earlier this month from Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R – KY), Vice President Joe Biden today condemned WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange as a “high tech terrorist” during an appearance on Meet the Press.

During the appearance Biden also insisted that Assange had “put lives in jeopardy” and had damaged alliances the world over. This was in stark contrast to Biden’s much less publicized comments from just days ago, in which he claimed the releases had done no damage but caused some embarrassment.

Biden also reiterated comments by other officials that the Justice Department is “looking into” taking some action against WikiLeaks, but declined to offer any details of what this might be. Though Biden scoffed at the notion WikiLeaks were journalists, there seems to be no small difficulty in moving against the group under US law, where freedom of the press is, at least ideally, guaranteed.

This has left the US struggling, despite apparent popular support for doing so, to come up with some remotely legal basis for censoring the group. Indeed, Congressional hearings originally aimed at inventing some new law allowing for Assange’s imprisonment seem to be falling apart in the face of a preponderance of warnings from experts that such a law would inevitably be unconstitutional...MORE...LINK

Wikileaks confirms tyrannical nature of Big Government in general, corrupted U.S. leviathan in particular

From:
The Biggest Leak

(Campaign For Liberty) -- by Bretigne Shaffer --

So much of the debate over Wikileaks, when not focused on what kind of person Julian Assange is, has been centered around whether or not the leaked information has the potential to cause harm or even cost lives; whether releasing it was a public service or an act of gross irresponsibility. While this is obviously an important question, it misses the entire point of Wikileaks and what it represents by a mile. Likewise, most of the media attention completely overlooks the real significance of what Wikileaks has accomplished in releasing the documents.

The most important piece of information revealed by Wikileaks to date has not been the graphic videos of US soldiers gunning down civilians and two journalists in Iraq nor the US military's systematic cover-up of civilian deaths and prisoner abuse there; nor has it been that US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton ordered US diplomats to steal personal data from UN diplomats; nor the news that the Obama administration launched secret missile attacks in Yemen or even the revelations of rampant corruption in Kenya that may have influenced the 2008 general elections there.

The biggest revelation to date is this: When pushed, the US government will behave no differently from any tin-pot dictatorship in the lengths to which it will go to cover up its wrongdoings from the people it ostensibly exists to serve. The illusion that US citizens enjoy freedom of speech or anything resembling government transparency, indeed the very notion that we live under a "government of the people", has been busted wide open. The irony, of course, is that this information did not require any disgruntled government employee to secret it away, in fact it was never really "leaked" at all, but was handed over willingly to the public by the US government itself.

Even more important than this revelation of course, is the technology that has allowed all of the documents Wikileaks has obtained to be made public. For the debate over the goodness or badness of Wikileaks is really about the goodness or badness of genuine transparency and, ultimately, genuine accountability for those in power. What Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has created is a paradigm-shifting model that allows people to in effect spy on their governments, a tool that threatens to change forever the landscape in which the state exists.

Not surprisingly the state has reacted vehemently and in so doing has revealed its true nature. Politicians and commentators have called for Mr. Assange and his sources to be assassinated, Newt Gingrich and others have called him a terrorist, and legislators have proposed changing the law so that Mr. Assange can be prosecuted. Meanwhile, Government officials have successfully pressured companies such as Amazon, PayPal, MasterCard, Visa and everyDNS.com (and very likely the Swiss postal system) into suspending their services to Wikileaks.

All of this was no accident. In an online Q&A session on December 3, Wikileaks founder Julian Assange said,

"Since 2007 we have been deliberately placing some of our servers in jurisdictions that we suspected suffered a free speech deficit in order to separate rhetoric from reality."

For those Americans who don't already understand the consequences of the regulatory regime under which businesses operate, the government's ability to pressure private businesses into dropping Wikileaks should make it abundantly clear that businesses operate here only at the whim of the Emperor. Just as the response to the Wikileaks releases has revealed this country's "free speech deficit", so has it called into question the notion that the US is a home for "free-market capitalism". It is this insidious intertwining of government and business that is the foundation for what Mr. Assange refers to as the "privatization of state censorship"...MORE...LINK

Real world consequences of Fed money printing to bail out banksters, pay off government cronies, wage perpetual war: Food costs up 48%; energy up 23%

From:
Chart of the Week: Inflation in the Real World

(The Casey Report) -- by Jake Weber --

As is often the case, there is a big difference between what the government statistics are reporting and what’s going on in the real world. According to the most recent inflation reading published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), consumer prices grew at an annual rate of just 1.1% in August.

The government has an incentive to distort CPI numbers, for reasons such as keeping the cost-of-living adjustment for Social Security payments low. While there’s no question that you may be able to get a good deal on a new car or a flat-screen TV today, how often are you really buying these things? When you look at the real costs of everyday life, prices have risen sharply over the last year. For simplicity’s sake, consider the cash market prices on some basic commodities.

[CHART]

On average, our basic food costs have increased by an incredible 48% over the last year (measured by wheat, corn, oats, and canola prices). From the price at the pump to heating your stove, energy costs are up 23% on average (heating oil, gasoline, natural gas). A little protein at dinner is now 39% higher (beef and pork), and your morning cup of coffee with a little sugar has risen by 36% since last October.

You probably aren’t buying new linens or shopping for copper piping at the hardware store every day, but I included these items to show the inflationary pressures on some other basic materials that will likely affect consumer prices down the road.

The jump in gold and silver prices illustrates that it’s not just supply and demand issues driving the precious metals higher – the decline in purchasing power of the dollar is also showing up in the price of physical goods. It is because stashing wheat and cotton in the garage is an impractical way to protect purchasing power that investors are increasingly looking to protect themselves with the monetary metals – a trend that is now very much in motion...MORE...LINK

Rothschild Bank AND Goldman Sachs Are Both On The LIST Of Bondholders Getting U.S. Taxpayer Billions In Irish Bailout

(The Daily Bail) --

Guess what, Ireland. Brian Lenihan and Brian Cowen just sold you down the IMF river. Why? To bail out bank bondholders and giant European banks. Of course! That's what governments are for these days, apparently. And they'll tell you that the bailout policy is all for you own good. And for little old ladies and pensioners and orphans. Just don't tell that to the cancer patients.

Yep, another nation made IMF debt slaves on behalf of the international banking cartels. And Goldman Sachs and Rothschild Co are on the list.

Check it out below -- Guido Fawkes' blog has acquired the list of Anglo-Irish Bank's bondholders.

From Guido Fawke...

Anglo-Irish Bank did not represent a systemic risk to the Irish economy, it wasn’t a high street bank like AIB or the Bank of Ireland. If it had been allowed to go the way of Lehmans the only losers would have been shareholders and bondholders. The Irish state stepped in and nationalised a bank that was basically run by crooks lending to property speculators.

The Irish people are taking losses that should rightly have been shouldered by bondholders.

That is the risk investors take.

So why is Dublin’s political establishment so keen to protect foreign investors at the expense of future generations? Guido has obtained the list of foreign Anglo-Irish bondholders as at the close of business tonight. These are the people whom Dublin’s politicians really seem to care about...

SO.... on one side we have Ireland whose bond holders, its people, have between them a total GDP wealth of 0.207 trillion euros. Who are being FORCED, against their will, to pay Anglo Irish bank's debts to its bond holders, who between them hold 20.8 Trillion euros. The people of Ireland are paying to, and protecting the wealth and power of, people who have 100 times more wealth!...

So who are they? Well many of the bond holders are privately held banks, which list their activities as asset management for off-shore, non-resident and high value individuals. To give you an example, one of the private banks is EFG Bank of Luxembourg. EFG stands for European Financial Group which is the third largest private bank group in Switzerland. It manages over €7.5 trillion in assets. It is 'mostly', 40%, owned by Mr Spiro Latsis, son of a Greek shipping magnate. He also owns 30% of Hellenic Petroleum. Professionally, ethically and socially unsuited for leadership, decline of America relates to rise of the lawyers

From:
VoteOutLawyers.com

...James Madison, the Father of our Constitution, designed these three branches of government each to serve as a check on the other. In Federalist No. 47 Madison stated: “the accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive and judiciary in the same hands, whether of one, a few or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny.” So today who can say otherwise than that we have a government where the accumulation of all powers is in the same hands of lawyers who are many and elected? And that we thereby have the very definition of tyranny.

To make matters worse, members of Congress who have a lawyer’s training, a lawyer’s developed habits and a lawyer’s loyalties clearly are not suited to serve the people of our nation.

A lawyer is trained that there is no right and wrong behavior, but only legal and illegal behavior. The declining values that follow this training are soon reflected in how we are governed.

A lawyer’s developed habits in his work do not serve the people. A lawyer usually only considers what the law says, ignoring cost and common sense. As a lawyer is paid by the hour, his habit of passing laws in Congress which are complex, ambiguous, and inefficient to administer profits his profession greatly. As does his habit of increasing conflict among differing parties. And in focusing only on the short-term goal of winning the case before him, an attorney rarely considers the long-term consequences of what he does. Moreover, by habitually treating all factors as static as the fixed laws he deals with every day, he does not consider the multitude of non-legal effects a new law he creates has. And of course a lawyer's habit is never to admit error, because it may result in his losing a case or political standing. Ordinary people, in a contrary manner, know that admitting and correcting errors are a natural part of progress.

And a lawyer’s loyalties are only to his individual client and to the government bureaucracy of which he is a part as an Officer of the Court—not to the American public at large.

Lawyers who want to grow government have been in charge for 50 years and have made a mess of things. It's time to give someone else a chance.

Path to prosperity no longer runs through Main Street, but rather Washington: Federal class gets rich ripping off the American provinces

From:
Washington Suburbs Surviving Recession

(The New American) -- by Bruce Walker --

America is in the throes of economic hardship. Certain regions of the country, the once thriving Great Lakes Region, the greatest industrial area in the world, and energy producing states, like West Virginia and Louisiana, have been particularly hard hit. The dream of American affluence, however, is live and well in one part of our nation: the seven suburban counties and cities around the District of Columbia. Two of those, Fairfax and Loudoun, were the only counties in the entire nation that had a median household income in excess of $100,000. Falls Church, which is both a city and a county, had the highest median in the nation at $113,000 per household.

Why are the environs of our national capital so rich? Government, instead of commerce or skilled professions, has become the quickest way to wealth in America. Men who start businesses face a daunting hurdle of federal and state regulations (those who want to drill for oil, for example, must make a huge capital investment, have great knowledge, and lots of guts — but despite all that, a single mistake by a competitor can freeze successful, safe drilling, which is what happened in the Gulf of Mexico.) Those who wish to become neurosurgeons or other highly trained physicians face greedy tort lawyers, the massive volumes of federal regulations in Obamacare, and years of loans to repay.

Working for the federal government for some agency like, say, the Department of Education, involves virtually no risk at all. Educational degrees are often required for higher positions in the Civil Service, but the required degrees are often in mushy and undemanding disciplines like “Education,” “Public Administration,” and “Political Science.” Once hired into the Federal Civil Service, tenure is almost certain; promotions and raises are almost automatic as well. The keys to advancement into the elites who live near Washington are: (1) Slavish and uncritical support for the “mission” of the agency, department, or bureau — the antithesis of the what is required to survive in the free market, and (2) Political connections based upon loyalty to a particular political party or powerful politician.

Federal government employment provides higher pay than comparable jobs in the private sector. Health care, leave time, regular working hours and pensions are all better in the federal government than in the private sector. The cities and counties of Virginia and Maryland within commuting distance of the District of Columbia have become the richest in America because the higher level federal workers in Washington ride home each night to neighborhoods inhabited by other government bureaucrats. The job security of these neighbors in well-off suburbs also has provided these bureaucrats with most stable home values as well...MORE...LINK

Fed's bailout of Goldman Sachs nothing but massive wealth transfer from American taxpayers to incompetent crony capitalists

From:
Totally Busted: The Truth About Goldman's Bailout by the Fed

(Economic Policy Journal) -- by Eric Fry --

Recent disclosures from the Federal Reserve reveal that honesty was one of the earliest casualties of the 2008 financial crisis. These disclosures contain a number of juicy tidbits, like the fact that Goldman Sachs received tens of billions of dollars in direct and indirect succor from the Fed.

Thanks to these spectacularly large taxpayer-funded bailouts, Goldman was able to continue “doing God’s Work” – as CEO Lloyd Blankfein infamously remarked – like the work of producing billion-dollar trading profits without ever suffering a single day of losses.

Thanks to the Fed’s massive, undisclosed assistance, Goldman Sachs managed to project an image of financial well-being, even while accessing tens of billions of dollars of direct assistance from the Federal Reserve.

By repaying its TARP loan, for example, Goldman wriggled out from under the nettlesome compensation limits imposed by TARP, while also conveying an image of financial strength. But this “strength” was illusory. Goldman repaid the TARP loans with funds it procured days earlier from the Federal Reserve. Then, over the ensuing months, Goldman recapitalized its balance sheet by selling tens of billions of dollars of mortgage-backed securities to the Fed.

And the public never knew anything about these activities until two weeks ago, when the Fed was forced to reveal them...MORE...LINK

Goldman Sachs pay out $111million in bonuses despite taking billions in bailout money
By Daniel Bates, Daily Mail

Goldman Sachs bosses are to pick up $111million in bonuses in an 'outrageous' pay deal that flies in the face of the worst recession for 80 years.

The investment banks' chief executive Lloyd Blankfein and president Gary Cohn will get $24million each under the bumper agreement that will see thousands of others get huge rewards.

Ideologically Zionist elite don't mind theft of U.S. documents for Israel, but want Wikileaks prosecuted to fullest extent of the law

From:
WikiLeaks: The Touchstone

Your reaction speaks volumes
(AntiWar.com) -- by Justin Raimondo --

WikiLeaks is a touchstone. Amid all the brouhaha and legal shenanigans engaged in by various governments – the Brits, the Swedes, the Americans – the prospect of having a web site devoted to spilling the secrets of the elites has brought out everyone’s true colors. To those truly devoted to liberty, it has evoked cheers; for those with other agendas, it has provided a target for their polemical arrows.

The cheers, sad to say, have been few and far between: the jeers, however, have been deafening. The legacy media, which has led the pack in denouncing WikiLeaks, is intent on keeping its gatekeeper role, no matter what price is to be paid. Our "journalists" are even ready to sacrifice the First Amendment, just as long as they’re assured the Information Police won’t be coming for them anytime soon.

Aside from the few cheers, the WikiLeaks case has inspired three responses from its critics: hypocrisy, vitriol, and outright weirdness.

None are more hypocritical than former New York Sun chess columned turned "national security expert" Gabriel Schoenfeld, a neocon who spent a great many months some years ago defending Steve Rosen and Keith Weissman from accusations of having committed espionage on behalf of Israel.

Charged with violating the Espionage Act – the same legal weapon the administration is said to be preparing to prosecute Julian Assange – Rosen and Weissman engaged in a two-year long effort to procure highly classified US secrets from Pentagon analyst Larry Franklin. Successful in their quest, they summarily handed over the stolen information to top officials at the Israeli embassy in Washington, D.C., with whom they regularly met. Unbeknownst to them, the FBI was on their trail, and they were arrested and prosecuted.

The AIPAC defendants had no more energetic defender than Mr. Schoenfeld: if the two traitors were convicted, he averred, then every journalist in Washington, whose job it is to collect information, would be imperiled. In high dudgeon, he wrote:

"The Justice Department has irresponsibly confused the distinction between spying and lobbying. Keith Weissman and Steven J. Rosen, two former employees of AIPAC, the pro-Israel lobbying organization, are charged with unlawfully receiving and transmitting classified national-defense information. The stakes are high."

He then approvingly noted the judge in the case had "decided a pivotal preliminary issue in the Weismann-Rosen case. The defense has subpoenaed 20 present and former administration officials to appear as witnesses for its side, including Elliott Abrams, Richard Armitage, Douglas Feith, Dennis Ross, Paul Wolfowitz, Stephen Hadley and Condoleezza Rice. The idea is to use their testimony to demonstrate that their clients had every reason to believe that what Mr. Franklin told them in conversation — no classified documents ever changed hands in this case — was part and parcel of the normal back-channel method by which the U.S. government sometimes conveys information to the media and/or to allied countries, in this case, to Israel."...

According to Schoenfeld and the War Street Journal, if WikiLeaks had obtained those classified documents and then duly turned them over to the Israeli government, Assange would be one of the Good Guys, a mere "lobbyist" on behalf of transparency, and engaged in doing what journalists in Washington do "all the time." Unfortunately, he took those classified cables and put them on the web, for all to see: therefore, he is "waging war" on the US government and ought to be prosecuted.

How’s that for hypocrisy?

Turning to vitriol, we have the example of Michael Moynihan, and Reason magazine: both have taken the lead, among ostensibly "libertarian" publications, in going after WikiLeaks and Assange, hammer and tongs. Moynihan, a senior editor at Reason, has written a number of pieces for the magazine smearing WikiLeaks. In one article, he avers that Assange is not a journalist but a "political activist" – precisely the formulation used by the Obama administration to lay the groundwork for prosecuting WikiLeaks under the Espionage Act...

You would think that Reason magazine, with its tech-savvy audience of geeked-out libertarians, would be the prime example of a pro-WikiLeaks constituency, and a great opportunity for the financially-strapped magazine to please their rapidly-deserting readers (after the magazine’s vicious assault on Ron Paul, they lost readers and credibility among that crowd). But Reason‘s loyalty is apparently to a higher power: the US government and the sanctity of its secrets.

Weird, eh? Not any weirder than Glenn Beck’s defense of Assange:

"Everybody is freaked out about this man. They’re terrified of the mere thought of what secrets he might expose about them on the Internet. The truth shall set you free. But it will make you miserable first. We’re about to hit the misery part.

"Many people would rather have slave chains to secrecy than endure the misery required to live in the truth. And so, they will fight, oh, they will fight – which puts Assange straight in the crosshairs. But who is aiming at him?

"I want you to come with me and hear this tale. I don’t think anybody has really told the tale of Julian Assange in an explainable way. We’re going to try tonight. Something is not right here.

Beck goes on to detail the multiple absurdities involved in the "rape" case against Assange – which I detailed here – and concludes:

"I want you to understand, I don’t support this guy. I don’t support what he’s doing, but I’m really torn on this story. He is exposing the fact that our governments all around the world have been lying to us. It’s been a job we’ve been trying to do but been pilloried over and over for doing it."

Damning secrets held by the elites, exposed to the light of day by a fearless crusader for truth and transparency – hey, that’s supposed to be Beck’s shtick! Assange is horning in on his act, but Beck, to his credit, is calling out Assange’s accusers — while still pleasing his bosses at Fox News by calling Assange an "anti-American dirt bag." I know Beck is supposed to be a right-wing warmongering blowhard, but it looks to me like he recognizes a kindred spirit when he sees one. Unlike Moynihan, the alleged "libertarian," he at least has enough integrity to say "something is not right here."

One’s response to WikiLeaks and its charismatic founder tells us more about the respondent than it does about the subject of transparency in government. Like a work of art, WikiLeaks evokes a visceral emotions and brings out our true selves: "libertarians" (some of them) are outed as closet authoritarians, right-wing blowhards are exposed as libertarians at heart, and shameless hypocrites are impaled on a sword of their own making...MORE...LINK

Anti-American U.S. ruling class using war to cover its plunder of the people can't and won't relent on war front regardless of public opinion

From:
Gates: Public Opinion Can’t Stop Afghan War

As Clinton Chides Americans to Support Occupation, Gates Insists Their Opinions Don't Count Anyhow
(AntiWar.com) -- by Jason Ditz --

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton played the usual appeal to fear card in trying to bolster public support for the Afghan War, even as polls show the American public overwhelmingly opposed to continuing the occupation, already in its tenth year. Her comments urged Americans to see the war as “protecting their families.”

Secretary of Defense Robert Gates had a somewhat more frank piece of advice for Americans – the government really doesn’t care what you think and isn’t going to end the war no matter how unpopular it gets.

Gates insisted that the government was more interested in the “long-term” implications of the war than its massive unpopularity. He didn’t indicate how long “long-term” was, but it clearly must have been well more than the 9+ years the US has already been occupying Afghanistan.

In that regard, it seems Gates is continuing the Bush Administration’s rhetoric, that massive unpopularity really doesn’t matter when the ruling class has decided that a bad war is going to continue, and that critics of administration policy must inevitably be drown out by the enormous echo chamber of officials who see an endless, failing war as politically expedient...LINK
