Is Keynesian, statist-corporatist fascism the motive behind the entire War on Terror?

Confused why Peter King is putting American Muslims on trial? One answer might be to follow the money.

(Mondoweiss) -- by Mai Abdul Rahman --

Sociologist Charles Kurzman recently reported (PDF) a drop in attempted or actual terrorist activity by American Muslims from 47 perpetrators and suspects in 2009 to 20 in 2010. In addition, it turns out that when it comes to exposing alleged terrorist plots, "the largest single source of initial information (48 of 120 cases) involved tips from the Muslim American community."

While this validates what many Americans, as well as American Muslims, have always suggested, unfortunately it will not make life any easier for American Muslims.

We American Muslims believe the obsession with Islam and Muslims is all about resources. Simply stated, the impetus for spreading fear about American Muslims is the billions of federal funds that have generated and sustained countless of anti-terrorism task force offices, centers, think tanks, and initiatives in every federal department including the Department of State, Labor, Transportation, Energy, Agriculture, Treasury, Justice, and even FDIC and Small Business Administration. Legions of counter terrorism centers have sprung across the country in small and large municipalities. It has even prompted colleges to offer Homeland Security programs and promote their counter terror research and expertise.

Many Americans are making a killing under the banner of counter terrorism. Counter terrorism is a profitable endeavor that supports high earning jobs whose raison d'ĂȘtre is to spread fear and Islamophobia.

In fact counter terrorism funds are one of the few federal funding streams that have continued to expand despite our grim economy. Federal counter terrorism allocations are huge and numerous and support the employment of too many people to count. Consider these two examples: The FBI receives $2.7 billion in counter terrorism funding which accounts for a third of its operating budget and employs a third of its workforce. The Department of Homeland Security's budget is $54.7 billion, dispersing funds, offering grants and subsidies to every state and municipality, including the private sector for the purpose identifying, educating, training and communicating counter terrorism.

Counter terrorism is an industry that will likely lose much if we Americans are not often reminded of the next terror attack that might take place.

American Muslims living in the DC metro area encounter heavy FBI and Homeland Security intrusions. Almost 70% of our youth and adult community has been questioned and/or harassed. Federal agents daily intrude on our privacy, questioning our travels, activities and associations, faith practices, monitoring our phones, letters, electronic postings and e-mails with no regard to our constitutional rights and protections. Sadly we lament that these agents we have collectively encountered are only justifying their pay, and for that reason have made it a daily practice to harass as many of us as possible...MORE...LINK

This all smacks of fascism, and here's how it happened.

Virtually the entire corrupt neocon/neolib Establishment and its tentacles are devout economic Keynesians, which is a quasi-fascist economic system.

Here is an abridged description of Keynesianism from Wikipedia:
Keynesian economics...is a macroeconomic theory based on the ideas of 20th century English economist John Maynard Keynes...Keynesian economics advocates a mixed economy—predominantly private sector, but with a large role of government and public sector—and served as the economic model during the latter part of the Great Depression, World War II, and the post-war economic expansion (1945–1973), though it lost some influence following the stagflation of the 1970s. The advent of the global financial crisis in 2007 has caused a resurgence in Keynesian thought. The former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, former President of the United States George W. Bush, President Barack Obama, and other world leaders have used Keynesian economics through government stimulus programs to attempt to assist the economic state of their countries.
All pretty benign sounding, right? Now here’s Wikipedia on economic fascism:
In general, apart from the nationalizations of some industries, fascist economies were based on private property and private initiative, but these were contingent upon service to the state.

Fascism operated from a Social Darwinist view of human relations. Their aim was to promote superior individuals and weed out the weak. In terms of economic practice, this meant promoting the interests of successful businessmen while destroying trade unions and other organizations of the working class. Historian Gaetano Salvemini argued in 1936 that fascism makes taxpayers responsible to private enterprise, because "the State pays for the blunders of private enterprise... Profit is private and individual. Loss is public and social."...
Plundering of the working class and middle class. Profit is private, and individual loss is public. Isn’t this exactly the state into which our Keynesian economic system has devolved? And even though they are some of the worst and most unethical business people on earth, thieving banksters and corporatist are being defined by their political stooges as “worthy” and “too big to fail” (too “successful” to fail) and getting bailed out and subsidized by Congress -- the very politicians who are getting their pockets lined by these same taxpayer-plundering corporatists.

When you add on top of that the war-profiteering and ethno-religious crackdowns both domestic and abroad being engineered by these same “elites,” there’s no getting around the fact that we are devolving into a economically fascist nation on the way to political fascism.

Sure, the fascism is papered over with politically correct platitudes, claims of “national defense,” a feigned commitments to “democracy,” and concepts like “saving the Jews” through blank check support to Judeofascist Israel (the Judeofascist racket itself being integral to both American and Israeli neo-fasicsm), but in the end, there’s no getting around the primitive state into which post-Christian, Judeophile statist-liberal and Judeo-Christian Zionist America has devolved.

Incidentally, a powerful central bank and a hegemonic Fed is integral to quasi-fascist Keynesinism. Who set all of that in motion? You guessed it: Jewish bankers.

I don’t blame only the Judeofascists for America’s corruption and social, moral, and economic decay; I blame their collaborators, too, whether that collaboration was spiritual, material, or both.

This is all shaping up like a replay of the 20th century, where the Judeofascist Bolsheviks and Stalinists (backed by Jewish bankers like Jacob Schiff and the Rothschilds) set in motion a whirlwind that turned into a humanitarian holocaust.

And what, at base, motivates all of these murderous sociopaths, whether of statist Left or Right? Insatiable greed for power and filthy lucre, as always.
